December 1, 2016
Dear Friends,
I wanted to share some exciting news – in May I will be traveling to Central Asia with a team from Casas Church. Our team will be visiting with house churches in isolated villages. Huge changes are happening in this region of the world as it transitions from a legacy of Communism into a new era of personal freedom. Many are diligently working to form stable democracies, and our team has the privilege to come alongside village leaders and offer our experience and support. We will offer training in organizational and business principles, as well as encouragement on how to balance work and family life. The village leaders have expressed that they want to learn how to succeed in their community while maintaining personal integrity—no easy feat. We will be sharing our own stories and experiences and building on long-term relationships that Casas goers have established over the years.
I am so thankful that I get to be a part of this team. As a follower of Jesus, I desire to love and serve others and this trip is a unique opportunity for me to use my unique experience and skills to help others. So much of the world yearns for what we have. Our team hopes that we can be a small part of helping these village leaders to build a better future for their country and to live purpose-filled lives.
I would like to invite you to be a part of my sending team. Sending teams are the backbone of Casas Church’s global trips to Central Asia. Without financial and prayer support, we would not be able to go and minister. I will be contributing some of my own funds toward the trip, but I can’t do this alone. Your gift can help me and our team – and can also be a personal way you can touch future generations halfway across the world. Most importantly, I ask for your prayers throughout the next seven months as my team prepares and during the trip itself.
Our team will be leaving May 15 and returning May 24, 2017.
Starting December 11, 2016, I need to meet financial goals of about $500 every two weeks until I have the total of $3,950, due by April 23, 2017. I encourage you to prayerfully consider donating 00, $200, $500 or whatever you feel God is leading you to give.
